Cecilia Springer is a senior associate at Climate Advisers, where she leads projects on sustainable finance for energy and agricultural commodities, tropical forest conservation, carbon pricing, and low-carbon transportation. She has extensive experience with climate, energy, and environmental research and has co-authored studies for the Brookings Institution and the German Marshall Fund. Previously, Cecilia served as a U.S. Fulbright Scholar conducting research in Tianjin, China on green urban development and eco-cities. She is proficient in Mandarin. Cecilia holds an Sc.B. in environmental science from Brown University, where she studied environmental health, chemistry, and toxicology. At Brown, she was a member of the Voss Environmental Fellows program, which applied scientific research to inform local policymaking. Cecilia also volunteers in local environmental efforts in the District of Columbia.
