Jerry Brown is a Senior Communications Fellow at Climate Advisers Trust, where he leads the communications efforts for projects focusing on deforestation finance, land use economics and climate policy, and litigation on forest crimes.
Jerry has more than 20 years of public affairs, public relations, and international experience in the corporate, U.S. government and association sectors. His areas of expertise include strategic communications, marketing, issues management, crisis communications, litigation support, branding, shaping the regulatory environment and driving innovation. Jerry worked as a consultant for the American Institute of Architects, independently leading research and analysis on multiple leadership ideation projects.
He was recruited as the Vice President of Global Communications for the International Code Council, leading the organization’s communications and public relations efforts. Jerry also served as Director of Strategic Communications for The Nature Conservancy, the world’s largest environmental organization. In this senior leadership role, Jerry provided marketing and communications counsel for global conservation and external affairs programs, which included spearheading cross-cutting communications and marketing campaigns globally. He has also held numerous positions as an independent strategic communications consultant.
